Hello, I’m Tirthesh Jani, but you can call me TJ.
My work is guided by a simple principle: Ad astra per aspera—”a rough road leads to the stars.” I believe that the most rewarding journeys involve tackling tough challenges, which drives me to transform complex problems into simple, human-centered solutions.
My path began with a degree in physics and math, but my desire to build things led me to data science and AI. However, the most crucial lesson came not from code, but from community. While working at my local public library, I had the opportunity to teach emerging technologies to the public. This experience taught me that the true value of innovation lies in its accessibility and cemented my passion for bridging the gap between data and the people it’s meant to serve.
Today, that “why” fuels my work in HealthTech at metricHEALTH Solutions, where I build data systems for a more efficient and effective healthcare system—work our team was recently recognized for with a Barrie Mayor’s Award for Research & Innovation.
This commitment to service extends to my community roles as a board member for Firebird Community Cycle, where we make cycling accessible and sustainable, and as a committee member for the Ontario Public Library Association, where I help measure the impact of libraries across the province.
I’m a lifelong learner who is passionate about using technology to build things that matter. If you have a project in mind or want to connect, please feel free to reach out.
